She thinks she is a lot older! She is sitting up all by herself, she has 2 teeth (finally) on the bottom and one that is coming in on the top. The fussiness and Tylenol nights have ended (thank goodness!) She still likes to put everything in her mouth but I am hoping the worst of the teething has come and gone! She is still talking lots and she hasn't quite pulled herself up or crawled but she is definitely trying to figure it out! I will put her down on her play gym mat and come back in the room and she is 10 feet away from it. She just rolls everywhere. Its really funny because she doesn't roll in a continuous motion. She rolls half of the way...stops...then rolls the rest of the way. Its very cute. She is still loving all the food I give her and I haven't found anything she doesn't like!<br /><br />In other news, Mary Emmett is about to be a big city girl! We are moving Sept 28th to NYC! We are going for 14 months for Robbie's job. It will be a fun adventure for all of us. I have already found several things to do with Mary Emmett while we are there. We are going to take several classes at this place I found and hopefully we will meet other mothers and kids there!<br /><br /><br />Here are some pics of her recently. Mary Emmett is a half of a year old. Its amazing how time has flown by! We went to her check up yesterday. Everything was great. She was 19lbs, 28.5 inches long! Off the charts in height and 95% in weight. She has stayed pretty consistent in the 95% for things! She has been teething so that has been sort of challenging just trying to keep her happy especially in the middle of the night. The Tylenol really seems to help with that and I think we have a good routine going. I haven't seen any teeth but I know they are coming. She puts everything directly into her mouth including my fingers and she bites hard! Also, she finally rolled over. We were so proud of her! Better late than never! She can almost sit up on her own now which will be fun so she doesn't just lay all the time. She is enjoying all of the fruits and vegetables I have made her. She has liked everything except applesauce. I have been surprised that she liked even the veggies that weren't sweet. I thought she might have a sweet tooth like her mama but turns out she likes anything. I guess we are lucky she isn't picky. She loves her Exersaucer and plays in it multiple times per day. I guess thats about it for the updating. We have been busy! We went to the beach again for the 4th of July! She still loves the water. She had a great time in MiMi and Papa Doc's pool and then we went down to the ocean 2 times. It was a lot easier having Robbie there to help me tote everything down. The ocean was perfect with little shallow "pools" that the sand had formed so we put her in that and she loved it. We also got this cool kit with plaster to make her footprint out of sand so we did that. I dont have a picture but it was really neat and such a good keepsake of her first visit! Anyway, she is just growing like a weed! She is also teething and I have had to start giving her Tylenol at night before she goes to bed to help her sleep. She has always been such a great sleeper but she started waking up like 2 times a night and I took her to the doctor and they told me she was hungry and teething! Hungry-ha! So now I am giving her oatmeal 3 times a day and fruit 2 times a day. So far she has loved bananas, pears, and sweet potatoes. We were in Atlanta for much of May. First, Mary Emmett got baptized at our church in Douglasville. Then we stayed the whole next week to help my mom get things ready for Travis and Molly's wedding. It was Mary Emmett's first wedding and she did great! I took her around in her precious party dress and let everyone see her. She just smiled and I think she liked the band (as did her mother!) Then the next day after the wedding my Papa passed away so we ended up staying another week for all of those events. Then we met Robbie in Columbus, MS for JD's wedding! It was a fun filled couple of weeks. Today she had her 4 month check up. She weighed 17lbs 6 oz (95%) and was 27 inches long (97%)! She had to get some shots and she sort of whined and then she started smiling and laughing! She didn't have a 3 month appointment with the doctor so I dont know how much she weighs or how long she is. I can tell she has definately grown in both though. She hasn't rolled over or anything yet. The most exciting thing she does is when she drops her passy, if it is on her chest or arm she will sort of push it up to her mouth. So smart! She weighed in at 13 lbs and 6 ounces (95% percentile) and was 24.5 inches long (97% percentile!) She gained 2 pounds and grew 2 inches since our last visit! I couldn't believe it! She still seems like the little 8 pounder that she was when she was born to me! Other than that she had her 2 month shots which I was really worried about. The first one she only sort of cried and the second one she screamed! So she cried all the way until we got in the car and then was sort of fussy last night. Then I put her to bed around 8:30 and she didn't wake up until 6:30 this morning! 10 HOURS!! Mary Emmett slept longer than she has ever slept there! I guess she liked sleeping in her mommy's old crib! We were very busy and she met tons of people! Of course everyone loved her and she was soooo good during all of our running around and parties. The highlight of the trip was when she met Samantha Rose her best friend! It was so neat Dan held Samantha up to see Mary Emmett and they grabbed each others hand! It was the cutest thing I have ever seen! Katie and I could not believe it. Mary Emmett weighed 11lbs (which is 95% percentile) and was 22 inches long (75% percentile). I guess the milk is working! Ha! Here are some pictures of her today before we went to the doctor. She is smiling because she didn't know she was going to get a shot at the doctor. She didn't like it but she was over the pain pretty quick so that made it a little easier for me to bear. She's such a good, strong, and healthy girl! They scheduled me to be induced on Jan 29th if I have not had her by then! I am excited to just have a date down that I know she will be here by! So basically I have 2 more weeks of getting stuff done and free time! December was a very busy month for us. We had a lot of Christmas parties and other events leading up to the holidays so I haven't had time to post!<br />Anyway, we had a great Christmas and got lots of good stuff! Mary Emmett was showered with gifts and she isn't even here yet!<br /><br />The Sunday before Christmas we had a small shower in Douglasville with all of my mom's friends. We got so much stuff we could barely fit it all in the Tahoe! It was so exciting to get home and put it all in the nursery! The nursery is ready except for hanging the pictures on the wall. I will post a picture after I do that. I feel like I have everything ready so early! I have washed everything and now I am just waiting!<br /><br />I had my first "exam" doctors appointment yesterday. I was 25% effaced but not dialated. I also had an ultrasound. I got to see her but it was quick because they were busy doing measurements. Everything looked great. She is in the 52 percentile of weight. The doctor still said she will weigh 7.5-8lbs. She weighs 6.3 right now and supposedly will gain around 1/2 lb a week until birth. Unfortunately, Mary Emmett wasn't turned correctly so we couldn't get any good pictures. She was sleeping and had her back turned to us so we couldn't see her face. I am still glad we did it because I got to see her, even though it wasn't her face. The doctor told me everything looks great and she had long skinny fingers!<br />I am still trying to decide if I am going to try again. They want you to do it between 28-32 weeks but the sooner the better because they start to get squished up in there!<br />So we will see......<br />Oh and they did confirm that it is indeed a girl! Good thing since everything I have is PINK!<br /><br />In other news, I have my first two showers this upcoming weekend! I can't wait!!! I was in Atlanta last weekend for my cousin's and another friends baby showers. It got me really excited about mine! Everything went really well. My doctor told me that Mary Emmett was in the 52.7% percentile for growth, which is average. At that growth rate, she said she would be a 7-7.5 pound baby! I started laughing and told her that I was 8lbs and Robbie was almost 10 so I would be thrilled to have a 7lb baby! I will keep my fingers crossed she stays that "small!"<br /><br />In other Pittman news, we had workers here all last week helping us get the house ready for Mary Emmett's arrival! My friend Whitney helped me pick 4 different paint colors for M.E.'s room. I had large pieces of paper sent with the different colors on them. We hung them on the wall then last night she came over and we decided on this perfect green color! I am so excited! The workers are going to come back this week and paint her room. Thanks for your help Whit! I cant wait to get it painted, and get all the furniture and bedding in there. I have several more weeks before the furniture and bedding arrive though.
