The Nursery!

Here are the long awaited pictures of the nursery! Sorry it has taken so long to get these up but we just hung the last picture last night!







Also, this past week at my doctor appointment I had progressed to 1cm dilated and about 75% effaced. They scheduled me to be induced on Jan 29th if I have not had her by then! I am excited to just have a date down that I know she will be here by! So basically I have 2 more weeks of getting stuff done and free time! It will be nice to just relax and try to get some rest.
Please pray for me over the next few weeks!!! :)

The Wait is OVER!

NO NO NO, Mary Emmett isn't here yet!

My cousin and best friend, Katie had her baby this morning at 8:52! The wait I am referring to is that Katie didn't find out the gender of her baby so I have been so anxious to know what she was having!!!

Samantha Rose Ludlam was born today 7 lbs 13oz! I am so excited Mary Emmett and Sam will hopefully be as close as Katie and I are! We are planning on moving back to Atlanta this summer so this is just so exciting that they will grow up together!

Congrats Dan and Katie, can't wait to meet her!!!!!

Less Than a Month To Go!

It has been about a month since my last post. December was a very busy month for us. We had a lot of Christmas parties and other events leading up to the holidays so I haven't had time to post!
Anyway, we had a great Christmas and got lots of good stuff! Mary Emmett was showered with gifts and she isn't even here yet!

The Sunday before Christmas we had a small shower in Douglasville with all of my mom's friends. We got so much stuff we could barely fit it all in the Tahoe! It was so exciting to get home and put it all in the nursery! The nursery is ready except for hanging the pictures on the wall. I will post a picture after I do that. I feel like I have everything ready so early! I have washed everything and now I am just waiting!

I had my first "exam" doctors appointment yesterday. I was 25% effaced but not dialated. I also had an ultrasound. I got to see her but it was quick because they were busy doing measurements. Everything looked great. She is in the 52 percentile of weight. The doctor still said she will weigh 7.5-8lbs. She weighs 6.3 right now and supposedly will gain around 1/2 lb a week until birth. I still find it hard to believe she will be so "small" but I guess we will just have to wait and see!

These are some custom letters I had made for Mary Emmett's room. My friend Britney told me about this lady on Ebay who makes them. I thought she did a wonderful job matching the bedding!

Two Showers, One weekend!

This weekend we had our first showers! Friday night we had a couples "book" shower at our friends Janie and Stacy's house! Mary Emmett got lots of wonderful books! She will be one smart girl. Below are some pictures from Friday night.

On Sunday we had a "girls" shower at my friend Jenny's house! It was so much fun and I got the cutest outfits and stuff for Mary Emmett!

This is a "doll house" book shelve that Mr. and Mrs. Pittman made me to put all the books on! Its so cute and looks great in her room!

It was a great weekend with family and friends. Thanks to everyone who came!

Sleepy Girl

This afternoon I had my 4-d ultrasound. Unfortunately, Mary Emmett wasn't turned correctly so we couldn't get any good pictures. She was sleeping and had her back turned to us so we couldn't see her face. I am still glad we did it because I got to see her, even though it wasn't her face. The doctor told me everything looks great and she had long skinny fingers!
I am still trying to decide if I am going to try again. They want you to do it between 28-32 weeks but the sooner the better because they start to get squished up in there!
So we will see......
Oh and they did confirm that it is indeed a girl! Good thing since everything I have is PINK!

In other news, I have my first two showers this upcoming weekend! I can't wait!!! I was in Atlanta last weekend for my cousin's and another friends baby showers. It got me really excited about mine! I will post pictures of the festivities after this weekend!

Busy Busy

I have been SO busy all week working Merry Marketplace selling my jewelry. Here is a picture of my set up! Janie and I shared a booth and had a blast!


Although I was EXHAUSTED from Merry Marketplace, we put the crib together Friday night and we had the room painted on Friday. It looks great! Unfortunately the changing table and chair still aren't here yet so this is the only picture I have to show of the nursery.


We have been busy busy updating the house and getting things ready for her arrival. I cant wait for it all to be complete!

I have a doctors appointment this Tuesday and another one next Tuesday (the 11th) to do the 4-d ultrasound. I can't wait to see her again!
