7 Months Old

Well Mary Emmett is 7 months old today! She thinks she is a lot older! She is sitting up all by herself, she has 2 teeth (finally) on the bottom and one that is coming in on the top. The fussiness and Tylenol nights have ended (thank goodness!) She still likes to put everything in her mouth but I am hoping the worst of the teething has come and gone! She is still talking lots and she hasn't quite pulled herself up or crawled but she is definitely trying to figure it out! I will put her down on her play gym mat and come back in the room and she is 10 feet away from it. She just rolls everywhere. Its really funny because she doesn't roll in a continuous motion. She rolls half of the way...stops...then rolls the rest of the way. Its very cute. She is still loving all the food I give her and I haven't found anything she doesn't like!

In other news, Mary Emmett is about to be a big city girl! We are moving Sept 28th to NYC! We are going for 14 months for Robbie's job. It will be a fun adventure for all of us. I have already found several things to do with Mary Emmett while we are there. We are going to take several classes at this place I found and hopefully we will meet other mothers and kids there!

6 Months!

Well I can't believe it! Mary Emmett is a half of a year old. Its amazing how time has flown by! We went to her check up yesterday. Everything was great. She was 19lbs, 28.5 inches long! Off the charts in height and 95% in weight. She has stayed pretty consistent in the 95% for things! She has been teething so that has been sort of challenging just trying to keep her happy especially in the middle of the night. The Tylenol really seems to help with that and I think we have a good routine going. I haven't seen any teeth but I know they are coming. She puts everything directly into her mouth including my fingers and she bites hard! Also, she finally rolled over. We were so proud of her! Better late than never! She can almost sit up on her own now which will be fun so she doesn't just lay all the time. She is enjoying all of the fruits and vegetables I have made her. She has liked everything except applesauce. I have been surprised that she liked even the veggies that weren't sweet. I thought she might have a sweet tooth like her mama but turns out she likes anything. I guess we are lucky she isn't picky. She loves her Exersaucer and plays in it multiple times per day. I guess thats about it for the updating. Here is a picture of her at 6 months!

Update!

It has been a while since I have posted anything. We have been busy! We went to the beach again for the 4th of July! She still loves the water. She had a great time in MiMi and Papa Doc's pool and then we went down to the ocean 2 times. It was a lot easier having Robbie there to help me tote everything down. The ocean was perfect with little shallow "pools" that the sand had formed so we put her in that and she loved it. We also got this cool kit with plaster to make her footprint out of sand so we did that. I dont have a picture but it was really neat and such a good keepsake of her first visit! Anyway, she is just growing like a weed! She is also teething and I have had to start giving her Tylenol at night before she goes to bed to help her sleep. She has always been such a great sleeper but she started waking up like 2 times a night and I took her to the doctor and they told me she was hungry and teething! Hungry-ha! So now I am giving her oatmeal 3 times a day and fruit 2 times a day. So far she has loved bananas, pears, and sweet potatoes. She didn't like applesauce but maybe its because I dont like it either! ;) After I uped the amount of food and gave her Tylenol, she is back to sleeping 7-7 which mama loves!

21 Weeks!

Here are some pictures at 21 weeks old! I can't believe she will be 5 months old on Monday! Time has gone by so fast!!!!!!! I am excited about what time will bring! She seems to discover something new everyday!

18 Weeks

Here are some pics of Mary Emmett at 18 weeks! She has found her feet, its really cute watching her play with them. Also, we tried rice cereal this week. It is so funny watching her try to figure out what is going on. I think she likes it because everytime I would take the spoon out of her sight she would whine. haha. I love helping her discover new things!

4 months old!

It has been a long time since my last post. We were in Atlanta for much of May. First, Mary Emmett got baptized at our church in Douglasville. Then we stayed the whole next week to help my mom get things ready for Travis and Molly's wedding. It was Mary Emmett's first wedding and she did great! I took her around in her precious party dress and let everyone see her. She just smiled and I think she liked the band (as did her mother!) Then the next day after the wedding my Papa passed away so we ended up staying another week for all of those events. Then we met Robbie in Columbus, MS for JD's wedding! It was a fun filled couple of weeks. Today she had her 4 month check up. She weighed 17lbs 6 oz (95%) and was 27 inches long (97%)! She had to get some shots and she sort of whined and then she started smiling and laughing! Such a little angel, all she is missing is her halo! ;)
